Myths awaken memory and stir our senses with sound, rhythm, story, and image, allowing us to recall the ancient resonances of Oral Tradition tales that have been carried down the generations for tens of thousands of years. This event centers on and awakening memory in community through three very different creation myths: one Norse, one Sumerian, and one from the Toba people of South America. Each story opens the imagination and carries unique wisdom, showing us ways to re-member, re-store and re-story ourselves and our care for all creatures of the Living World.
The stories unfold truths about loss, sacrifice, courage, beauty, and love. Each is relevant for our times, facing challenges yet uplifting the heart. The event is family-friendly, designed for young and old together so that all can have an authentic community experience of myth as it has been practiced in the Oral Tradition for millennia.
